Description Of Work: We requested the services of Ohm's Electrical Construction to install lighting and ceiling fans to our third floor area to improve lighting and increase air circulation. The area had no ceiling fixtures previously so we needed wiring to be preformed through the walls and attic of our home. Upon contacting Mr. Daley he made himself available to provide an estimate for us immediately. He was punctual with his arrival and evaluated the location. Mr. Daley acknowledged our needs as well as made some suggestions. He explained what an electrician would need to do to perform the job efficiently in layman terms as well as answered all of our questions. Mr. Daley subsequently submitted a fair and reasonable price quote.
Comments: Mr. Daley and his assistant arrived early in the morning to perform the installation and worked straight thru the day without taking a break. Upon completion of the work, he explained what he did, checked all of the fans to ensure they were working correctly and proceeded to instruct us on the proper use of the controls. Before leaving he made sure to answer all of our questions.We highly recommend Ohms Electrical Construction. Mr. Daley is courteous, efficient, reliable and very professional. We definitely will be using Ohms for all our future electrical needs.

Description Of Work:

+ Upgraded service from 100 to 200 amps, including replacing circuit panel, upgrading house ground and upgraded exterior wiring.
+ Upgraded 2-prong outlets to 3-prong grounded
+ Installed wiring / circuit for new dishwasher- installed smoke / carbon monoxide detector
+ Identified all of the circuits and provided printed out labels for circuit panel
Comments: I'm very happy with the service and will use Ohms Electrical Services again. I called on a Tuesday for a consultation. Omar was able to come the same day and talk through all of the work that I wanted to have done. He answered all of my questions, shared his recommendations, and provided a thorough, clear estimate by email later that day. Omar even took a minute during our walk-through to fix a temperamental chandelier light for free! I was able to schedule the work for later in the week, which I really appreciated. The crew got started a little later in the morning than scheduled, but Omar contacted me earlier in the day to let me know. The crew came prepared for the rain- setting up a tent so they could perform all of the outdoor work without delay despite the weather. The next week, Omar checked in to make sure everything was working as expected- and it is. I'll definitely call Ohms Electrical Services the next time I need electrical work done.

Description Of Work: I bought a bungalow of  a house for the weekends. Omar, the owner, came in and upgraded me from 100 amps to 200 amps. He created a new box and installed new 220 volt outlets so I could run electrical appliances all through the kitchen. He also added new recessed lighting.

Comments:I thought he was reliable and reasonable. He really wants to work with you and really took the time to educate me on what everything means. He wanted to know my future needs so he could do the proper work. He hooked me up with a system that allows me to use all electrical appliances including electrical hot water. I did not need the work done quickly so I was flexible with scheduling and so was he. He completed the work to my satisfaction.

Description Of Work: He and his assistants dug a trench from our house to an outbuilding to house cables for television, internet service and electric wires. They also fixed a broken outlet outdoors and voluntarily dealt with a few problem areas that our builders had caused such as recessed outlets and uncapped wires for lights waiting to be installed.
Comments: Although the trench digger broke (I believe it hit something hard) during the dig, Omar and his helpers continued to dig the trench with shovels and it was a very hot day. I was grateful for their persistence since we were eager to get the electric up and running in our new office space. Omar is a fun, upbeat person who has a respectful and professional manner. He is reliable and capable and I would highly recommend him for any household electrical job.

Description Of Work: Ohms installed underground electric service at a rural site. 
Comments: This is the second time I've employed Ohms for underground service. Both times the quality of work was very high and was performed promptly and thoroughly. Both projects involved lengthy conduit runs (one over 1,000 feet) which of course increases the chances for something to go wrong. There were a few "head-scratchers" but Ohms responded with creativity to solve the problems - yet kept to the National Electrical Code which they have (apparently) committed to memory!

Description Of Work: Omar was very thorough and spent a lot of time helping us figure out the best system to run a generator off our Prius. He also came and did a few odds and ends (electric) and charged us a minimal fee. Both he and his helper Lloyd were efficient and caring.
Comments: This was new territory for Omar as he had never hooked up a hybrid car battery to a home electrical system. He spent extra time discussing the process with the company I purchased the inverter from and built a platform to hold the inverter near our electrical panel. He was honest, diligent and curious to see how it all worked out. I trust him to do any electrical work in my home.

Description Of Work: We have had them back twice. We have a new house and they did a lot work the first time including installing a new electrical panel. The second time they did some outside work in preparations for landscape lighting.
Comments: I called and he came right away even though he has a very busy business. Their service was fantastic! The owner, Omar, is very professional, thorough, and takes a lot a pride in his work. He is knowledgeable, conscientious, and his work is very reliable. He will take the time to explain why certain ways are better or cheaper. His assistance also does a great job and they never cut corners. The price is reasonable and fair.

Description Of Work: I am remodeling our basement so they are doing all  the electrical work including a sub panel. They installed new smoke detectors that are wired into the panel and a surge protector that is also wired into the panel. They also installed new thermostats throughout the house. We have radiant heat in the ceiling and they cut some lines while doing this work, but they came back to resolve it.
Comments: They gave ideas that have saved us money in the long run. They have to finish some electrical work in the basement but we are overjoyed so far. They are tremendous and we are extremely pleased. They were the best guys I have ever hired. They did really good work and they care about the quality. I have recommend them to my neighbors and other friends. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Omar, the owner, is very by the book. His motto is if he wouldn't do it in his home, he wouldn't do it in my home. I really appreciated that.

Comments: They arrived within the specified time and immediately began the upgrade.  Omar was very specific about the time it would take to complete the upgrade.  He was right on target.  Work began at 9am and was completed at 10pm with all service completed to specifications.They did run into several unforeseen issues, however, his team handled each one professionally with the right resolve to the problem.I must say that his entire team was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable in their profession. I would highly recommend Ohms Electrical to anyone needing a professional electrician. I myself will call on them for other electrical services when needed.They rate 5 STARS...

Comments: Jay and Rome installed both the outside ground wire and the whole house surge protector.  Jay knew exactly what to do and his experience showed.  Projects often present surprises and Jay in each case was creative and provided a solution.  He answered all my questions and instructed me on both the outside ground wire and the whole house surge protector.
